I design and build beautiful, functional websites almost exclusively in WordPress. It doesn’t mean that I’m not familiar with other platforms like Shopify, SquareSpace or Wix, or that I’m unwilling to work with them, it’s just that I feel that a WordPress website, when built and designed correctly, is often the best option for the vast majority of my clients.
Did you know that more than 40% of all websites online use WordPress?
And there’s a reason for that. WordPress is inexpensive, accessible, highly customizable, and it excels at search engine optimization (SEO). But not all WordPress sites are of the same quality. Deciding to go with a WordPress website, is sort of like shopping in a department store. There are a ton of different options to choose from, and the quality can seriously vary from one to the next (not to mention it can be challenging to tell which options are of good quality or bad).
WordPress is an opensource software, and that means that it is owned and moderated by no one. Anyone with some knowledge of code can develop themes and plugins for WordPress, and then try to give or sell them to you. Sounds overwhelming, right? Well, if you’re new to WordPress, it is. The benefit to you, though, is that you can have a site that looks exactly how you want it to, and you have full control and ownership of it. You aren’t being held hostage by a monthly or annual fee. It’s just a matter of making the right choices, when it comes to your WordPress website design, and likely hiring someone to do the initial heavy lifting for you.
And that’s where I come in!
Starting your own WordPress website from scratch can be extremely daunting, even if you have a basic knowledge of WordPress. There are so many different directions you can go, and unlike Shopify, WordPress isn’t there to hold your hand. Hiring a team of designers like us to design your WordPress site means it is being built with quality and longevity in mind, not to mention with your customer’s needs as the biggest priority. And once I’m done I will sit you down either in person or via Zoom, and show you exactly how to use it, so that you have total control of your site. The best part is, we’re always here if you need additional support.
I know WordPress inside and out, and as a matter of fact, I’ve built my own website using WordPress too, because that’s how much I love it. But I also understand how challenging it is to design and develop your own website using WordPress, and that’s why I’m here to help! Feel free to visit my portfolio, or contact me if you’re in need of a new or revamped website.
