I have chosen to remove the content of this post, until further notice, due to the (apparently) controversial nature of it. While I am not happy with the way the final days at Pari were handled, and I do not take back what I wrote, my intention was not to create animosity or controversy amongst my peers.
The Pari Project closed it’s doors for a number of reasons, not all of which were shared with me upfront. I have spent time mulling over how to respond to this, and have decided that instead of making a public debate forum out of this blog, I am going to put the topic to rest. This website is intended as a travel blog, and while I am technically allowed to say whatever I want, I have chosen to remove certain words that have caused a controversy in the ex-pat community of Phnom Penh.

Hi Caroline:
Well you are certainly having wonderful expierences in your trip abroad. Thanks for explaining everything so well and the fantastic attitude you have protrayed. Seems now you and Tyson will be able to complete more travel plans. Time is going by quickly and you’ll soon be on your way home. In the meantime take care and thanks again for keeping in touch.
Luvs to you both from Syl & Kay.
Wow. Really good life lessons, Caroline. I’m sure they were not fun to experience, but will be great additional foundations to who you are. I look forward to having all these skills come back to Camosun!
Cheers,
Robin
In retrospect this has been an incredible experience that youll never forget. Life is an excellent teacher, Caroline, and your perspective shows that you are ever the attentive student. That makes me very proud.
Wow! You should be a media specialist. You seem to have the most amazing attitude that will get you far and where you want to be. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us. You should forward this to Walrus or the Economist or somewhere!
Take care!
Well, may you live in interesting times, goes the Chinese proverb. Lousy turn of events, but good to hear that you are taking it in stride and not losing the lesson – something valuable that will serve you well in the years to come. Stay with it!
